Twin tornados hover near Remington in Fauquier County, where about 25 houses were severely damaged in storms that raked the region.
Some tornados spawned off of Ivan and ravaged the nearby town of Remington. It damaged 25-30 homes in Remington alone and totaled 3-5 houses. A little red car was in the left lane ahead of the SUV. I was in the right lane. The red car violently blew a tire and swerved into my lane. In the process of blowing the tire, he endured swift deceleration. I slammed on the brakes and swerved into the right lane behind the SUV who also slammed on the brakes. At 7 o’clock my uncle, Nelson Mast, dropped me off at the base of a hill that rises steeply, leading up to a rustic cabin that served as our base camp. We then hiked up to base camp.
